Staff Mobility for Teaching
Staff Mobility for Teaching is a field of activity that enables full-time or part-time academic staff "obligated to lecture" (Professors, Associate Professors, Asst. Profs, Lecturers, etc.) to carry out joint academic/educational activities, including teaching students at a higher education institution that holds an ECHE (Erasmus Charter for Higher Education) and has an Inter-institutional Agreement with our university in a program or partner country.
Staff members who are entitled to participate in this activity are responsible for conducting their own correspondence with the host institution and submitting the necessary documents (Letter of Invitation, Staff Mobility Agreement for Teaching, Certificate of Attendance, etc.) to our Coordination Office.
If staff members cannot receive acceptance from their preferred universities listed in the application form, they may correspond with other universities within the scope of our agreements. Our Coordination Office cannot be held responsible if the staff members fail to receive an acceptance from the universities they applied to.
If a staff member wishes to go to a university with which we do not have a bilateral agreement, they must establish an agreement with the desired university, and the agreement process must be completed 1 month prior to the mobility.
Depending on the grant amount allocated to our University, the duration of the activity with program countries is 3 consecutive days excluding travel, but 5 days in total including travel. To consider the activity valid, a minimum of 8 hours of teaching is mandatory.
In cases where teaching and training activities are combined, the minimum teaching duration is 4 hours for one-week or short-term activities. Academic staff wishing to benefit from this activity can only apply based on the fields, quotas, and activity types specified in the Erasmus Inter-institutional Agreements. Applications outside of these designated fields will be considered invalid.
Staff Mobility for Training
Staff Mobility for Training is an activity type that allows our university personnel (Research Assistants, Lecturers (Applied Sciences/Rectorship), and Administrative Staff) to receive training in a program country. Within this scope, it is possible to receive various types of training (job shadowing, observations) to improve skills related to the person’s current job. Participation in conferences is not supported under this activity.
The activity duration with Program Countries, depending on the grant amount allocated to our University, is 3 consecutive days excluding travel, but 5 days in total including travel. No permanent staff status is required; any personnel with an active employment contract with our university can benefit from these activities.
It is possible to go to an ECHE-holding higher education institution or relevant organizations. Organizations for training may include training centers, research centers, chambers of commerce and associations, schools, foundations, non-profit organizations, career guidance providers, professional advisory/guidance organizations, and higher education institutions. NOTE: The host higher education institution is not required to hold an ECHE, and we do not need to have an existing Erasmus Inter-institutional Agreement with that specific institution. Personnel wishing to benefit from this activity find the host institution/organization through their own means. It is preferred that the training is related to the staff member’s own job. Assistance can be sought from partners or acquaintances living in Europe for finding an institution. Universities we are partnered with may also be considered based on the fields, quotas, and activity types specified in the Erasmus Inter-institutional Agreements list under Staff Training.
